From https://www.kaggle.com/, we obtained a data set containing the statistics of 4920 games in The National Basketball Association (NBA) from 2014 until 2018. These statistics give us with many insights on how different teams play, and on what has happened in the games. Below are the histograms of some important variables such as Team points, Field points attempted, Steal number, Opponent-free-throw number, Opponent three point shots attempted, Opponent total fouls.
Within the scope of our project, we are trying to answer three questions:
1. How has the performance of each team developed during the years?
2. Do best teams tend to be offensive or defensive?
3. Which factors have remarkable influence on a team's win? (number of 3-point shots, fair playing, etc.)
