Using tableau, we tried to make some comparisons between the teams through years.
Firstly, by putting each team on a plane with Average 3-point shots on horizontal axis, and Average 3-point shots attempted on vertical axis, we can see how accurate each team was. Generally, the accuracy of 3-point shots is between 0.33 to 0.4 for all teams. here is a remarkable difference in the number of attempts between Houston and Minnesota, whereas their average-3 point shots are close to each other. It does not look like that the more attempts a team tried, the more accurate the achieved.

Another interesting fact is that both field goal attempts and the level of accuracy generally increases for each team through the years.

Hello!
I do like your project. As a basketball fan I find the information that you present very interesting. I also wanted to do something related with sports but I couldn't convince my group members.
I have a suggestion for your scatter plots as it is a bit difficult to appreciate the evolution through time of a team. I think it could be a good idea to use a color to identify each team. Specially as each team is usually associated with a color. For example, Celtics and green. Then, you could use a different shape for each year. In my opinion, in this way it could be easier to see how a team evolves and see the difference between…
The visualizations looks great in the sense that it is very clear what they are expressing. Maybe it could be interesting to add some interaction in future plots? Also, especially in the plots where the relationship between the different variables is weak (the first plot, for instance), it might be good to quantify the correlation between the variables and add a regression line? That way we are sure that we are actually not seeing any significant relationship.
