We all know that fair play is an important aspect in sports. A team with full of fouls during a match may not only be charged with penalties but also damage its image in audiences. However, a dilemma is that in an effort to shoot the ball into the basket, players may or may not intentionally foul. With the given data set, we try to visualize Total Fouls vs Team Points, and figure out whether there is any correlation between these two factors.
In this visualization, besides scattering Total Fouls vs Team Points in each match, we also use colors to separate whether a team won or lost in that match. Also, using regression technique, team with more fouls seem to score more, though the model does not explain well the the TeamPoints variable (with R-square = 0.02).
